21 Day Fix–Upper Fix Workout

21DFixThe Upper Fix workout is the second video in the 21 Day Fix series which I did yesterday morning.  It seemed much easier than the first workout.  To be honest, I wanted to skip the workout today, but I didn’t and I am so proud of myself.  My thighs were still super sore and I got a little reprieve by doing upper body exercises, however we still had some floor exercises which included a little bit of leg work.  My thighs hurt even more afterwards, but the burn was worth it.  For the first time in years I felt a burn in my abs which lasted most of the day.  I guess I am doing something right.  There were two rounds of exercises which lasted a total of 30 minutes in this workout.  Each workout starts with a warm-up and ends with a cool-down.

I’m a little disappointed.  When I placed my order this past Monday it said that I would receive the program in the mail in 2-5 business days.  When I checked Fed-Ex, it says that I will receive them next Monday, August 31st.  I can’t wait to get started on the nutrition part of the program, but I am happy that I can still do the workouts through the Team BeachBody® website.

21 Day Fix–Total Body Cardio Fix Workout Video

3018229_origYesterday morning I did my first ever 21 Day Fix workout, Total Body Cardio Fix.  I followed the modifier Kat.  She modifies the workouts for those of us that are just starting out so that we don’t feel like we have to keep up with the regular/faster past of Autumn Calabrese and the others.  For more information on Kat, you can check out her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/katnapolitano.

I felt like my thighs were on fire afterwards and even this morning.  No pain, no gain I suppose.  My abs were a tiny bit sore yesterday, but not like my thighs – oh boy!

I found the workout to be a bit challenging, but that is only because I haven’t regularly worked out in many many months.  For those people that routinely workout, they might not find this too much of a challenge, although it is still fun.

The workout was 30 minutes.  If you think about it, 30 minutes is only 2% of your day.  I never thought about it like that before but I can do anything for 30 minutes.  I’m trying to break my lazy habits and I think that these workouts are just what I need.

Part of the program is being able to stream the workouts from the Team BeachBody® website.  As of yesterday I did not have all of the videos and I purchased the program on Monday.  Only the first workout video was showing.  I contacted customer service and they said that it took 24-48 hours for them all to show up under the “Purchased” section of the website.  So, be aware, if you purchase this program and don’t see all of the videos, that is why.  I checked this morning and I have all of the 21 Day Fix workout videos under the “Purchased” section.

21 Day Fix

Recently, I have been seeing infomercials on TV for the 21 Day Fix.  I have always been skeptical of infomercials but decided to do some research on this one.  The majority of what I found was v21-Day-Fix-packageery positive.  Yesterday, I decided to go for it and order the program.  It is a little pricey compared to other programs but I figured, what do I have to lose but weight and gain my health back?  They also have a 30 day money back guarantee.  I also downloaded the free 21 Day Fix app for my phone to help me keep track of my exercises, water intake and food intake.

I ordered:

  • 21 Day Fix Essential Package
  • 21 Day Fix Ultimate Package
  • 30 day Free trial of the Team BeachBody®, the streaming workout videos and also includes a week worth of Shakeology®

Even though I have to wait for my package to arrive in the mail which could take 2-5 business days, I can still start on the exercises since I have the free trial of the streaming workout videos.  I was also set up with a personal online coach.  She contacted me within a few hours of me signing up for the program.

Until I get my official package in the mail I will do the streaming exercises and post daily with how I did with the workout.
